Certification Reimbursement

In an effort to support coaches in their ongoing professional development, reimbursement is provided for certain professional Certifications offered through PSIA/AASI.

The following certifications are eligible for reimbursement:

• Alpine/Snowboard/Adaptive Levels 1, 2, and 3

• Children’s Specialist 1 and 2

Reimbursements will be processed only for achieved certifications. It is recommended that you keep a record of passed exams, as reimbursement can only be processed with supporting paperwork. The following paperwork must be supplied in PDF format to receive reimbursement:

• Proof of certification/exam pass (i.e., score card or certificate) with the date of passing

• Exam Fee Invoice

Proof of new certification must include the date (at least the month and year) you earned it.

Reimbursements will be paid in the current season, and any applicable pay increases and/or reimbursements will go into effect at the start of the next pay period following receipt of all required documentation. Pay will not be retroactively altered due to late documentation submission.

Important note: All paperwork must be completed and submitted prior to the end of the season in which the certification was attained. Any qualifying certification/accreditation achieved or submitted after the end of the season will be processed for the first pay period worked in the following season.
