A Day in the Life: Ages 7-14
8:00-8:30 AM
Pros arrive at the resort, gear up in the locker room, and travel to Spruce via the Over Easy Transfer Gondola to the Adventure Center
8:30-8:45 AM
All Pros must be fully dressed in uniform, boots on, and ready to start the day.
The morning meeting takes place in the Adventure Center Corral with Pros and Supervisors. Following the meeting, Pros meet and greet guests prior to lesson launch.
8:45-9:00 AM
Pros organize their assigned classes by:
Completing a class roster, including allergy information, early pick-up details, and helmet/clothing descriptions.
Ensuring all students have the correct equipment and information tags.
Once classes are organized, Pros develop and review a safety plan with their students. Rosters must be submitted to the Supervisors before classes leave the corral.
9:00 AM-12:00 PM
Pros exit the corral and conduct on-snow lessons using appropriate drills, progressions, and terrain suited to their students' ability levels. Remember: don't over-terrain.
All classes riding chairlifts must return to the "Check-Back" banner after their first run to check in with a Supervisor. This allows Supervisors to address mixed abilities, late arrivals, ticketing issues, and any other operational needs.
A mid-morning snack break typically takes place at 10:30 AM in the Adventure Center. Pros must submit their pink rosters to the F&B attendant to ensure all allergy protocols have been recognized and followed before snacks are served.
12:00 PM-12:30 PM
Lunch takes place in the Canteen.
Prior to entering the cafeteria-style lunch line, Pros should ensure students remove helmets, jackets, and any other outerwear as appropriate.
During lunch, Pros supervise students and encourage positive behavior and good table manners.
When lunch is complete, everyone helps clear tables and follows proper composting, recycling, and trash procedures.
After lunch, students visit the restroom, gear up, and return outside by 1:00 PM, if not sooner.
For students with a scheduled 12:30 PM early pick-up:
Pros sign students out near the metal ski racks outside the secure Adventure Center doors on the snow-front.
Rental skis should remain on the rack.
If skis are personally owned, remind parents to take them home.
12:30-3:00 PM
Lessons resume on snow.
Pros begin with a warm-up run and continue instruction using appropriate drills, progressions, and terrain while reinforcing concepts introduced during the morning session.
An afternoon break typically takes place around 1:45 PM. During this break, Pros should complete progress cards if not already started during lunch.
Following the break, classes take their final runs and return to the Adventure Center by 2:45 PM as the on-snow portion of the day concludes.
2:45-3:15 PM
Pros meet individually with parents to:
Review progress cards.
Share highlights from the day.
Discuss student achievements and next steps.
Invite guests back for another day with the ski & ride school.
Pros must obtain parent/guardian signatures on their yellow rosters and return the completed form inside.
3:15-3:30 PM
Pros depart for the day and return uniforms and equipment to the locker room at MOC.
