a day in the life: adult GROUP LESSONS

8:30-9:00am —Arrive and Boot Up

  • Ride Over Easy transfer lift to Spruce Peak

9:15am – Morning Meeting & AM Adult Group Lesson Line-up

  • Meet at the Adult Group Lessons corral in uniform with equipment ready to go!

  • Discuss safety topic for the day/week, snow & weather report for the day, need to know for the upcoming week, teaching/people skills fundamental discussion for the day.

  • Receive class assignment and head count

  • Introduce yourself to class and begin to collaborate on goals for the day

  • Fill out e-timecard if released for the day

  • If asked to check in for Private Lessons plan to check back at 10:00am

9:30am – AM Adult Group Lessons Launch

  • Receive go ahead from Supervisor

  • Take one quick assessment run in easiest terrain for group

  • Check back with Supervisor after one run for any late arrivals or class adjustments

  • Continue with on-snow portion of the lesson

  • Take breaks if/when appropriate for the group

12:00pm – AM Adult Group Lesson Wrap-up

  • Review lesson with the class

  • Hand out Tip of The Day cards and invite them to join us again

  • Check your schedule at Spruce Camp Instructor Kiosk

  • Fill out e-timecard if released for the day

12:45pm – PM Adult Group Lesson First Timer Line-up

  • The afternoon Adult Group Lesson is for first time students only!

  • Meet in the Adult Group Lessons corral

  • Receive class assignment and head count

  • Introduce yourself to class and begin to collaborate on goals for the lesson

1:00pm – PM Adult Group Lesson Launch

  • Receive go ahead from Supervisor

3:00pm – PM Adult Group Lesson Wrap-up

  • Review lesson with the class

  • Hand out Tip of the Day cards and invite them to join us again for AM Adult Group Lessons

3:00-3:30pm – Depart and Deboot

  • Pros return to the MOC Locker Room to deboot and fill out e-timecard
