Stowe Snow Pros, This morning, when I looked up at the "Man on the Mountain," I noticed the dark green backdrop changing to shades of green, pops of burgundy red, and a sprinkling of yellows and oranges. Fall has arrived in Vermont, and it's a sure sign that winter is closer than we think. In fact, we're just 66 days away from operations! (Tentatively) There's still work to do before the snow flies. This year, the Return Staff Onboarding process has changed. I cannot stress enough the importance of completing your pre-boarding documentation in a timely manner. Pre-boarding activities are REQUIRED to be completed by each employee this season. Do not wait to complete these steps! Failing to complete pre-boarding in a timely manner can create additional complications with your onboarding process, which we all want to avoid. Winter will be here before we know it. In this newsletter, you'll find information about upcoming events, additional details regarding Fall Refresher, and other fun updates! I'm looking forward to welcoming all of you back for another great season. Get Stowe'kd! -Tim Shannon

Re-Hire Onboarding Weeks: Oct 26 - Nov 7 This year, employees who have not verified their I-9 in more than three seasons will be required to complete I-9 verification during onboarding. New this season, I-9 verification and other onboarding tasks are PAID and are part of your Day 1 Experience. To support onboarding more than 200 employees before Fall Refresher, we will communicate designated Onboarding Days for all employees. During your onboarding day, you will be asked to join an Office Hours session virtually and check in with an SRS leader who will be available to support your Day 1 Hire Experience. If you are required to complete your I-9 this year, you must do so within 72 hours of your Onboarding Day. We are still finalizing the details regarding how Onboarding Days will work, but please be aware that they are coming. This is a new change to our returning Ski + Ride School process.
Fall Refresher - Nov 7-8 This year, Fall Refresher will be more important than ever for returning employees to attend. We have many changes coming to the way we work, including new onboarding processes in Workday, the new My Epic App, and Lesson Connect. Please save the date and make every effort to attend this event! More details on Fall Refresher are coming, but I also want to let you know that this season Fall Refresher could become a multi-day event, with opportunities to complete key trainings with the team on Sunday. This is not confirmed, but if you were thinking about making Sunday plans, you may want to keep that date open as well.
