Employee Referral Program – Winter & Summer 2025/26

For the 2025/26 Winter & Summer seasons, Vail Resorts is offering a $300 referral bonus to employees who refer a candidate to an eligible job at one of our North American Resorts. Search all jobs here.Below is a breakdown of program terminology, requirements, and participating roles. 

Referral Program Terminology   

  • “Referring” employee (the referrer): the current employee who is referring another to work at one of our North American resorts.    

  • “Referred” employee: the new employee that identifies on their application who referred them. 

Referral Program Requirements 

All terms and conditions listed below must be met to qualify for the referral bonus.  Terms and conditions are subject to change.   

The Referring Employee:     

  • Must be actively employed by the company when the referral bonus is paid out.    

  • Must be a resort-based or corporate employee in a role grade 26 or below.      

*Talent Acquisition or employees directly involved in the hiring process are not eligible for this program. Additionally, managers who refer employees to their own department will not qualify. *    

The Referred Employee:    

  • Must be a new candidate who has not worked for Vail Resorts in the past.  

  • Must input the referring employee’s 6-digit Employee ID on their application.

    • This is the only opportunity for the Employee Referral Program. If the employee’s ID is missing, the referral is considered incomplete and therefore not valid to receive the bonus. There are NO referral opportunities outside of the application.

  • Must be a resort-based employee. They cannot be a contractor for Vail Resorts   

  • Referrals must remain active in the position for at least 30 days (about 4 and a half weeks) to qualify for the referral bonus    

  • Must be actively employed by the company on the date the referral bonus is paid out 

  • Must apply through the Vail Resorts Career website.   

Referral Bonus Payout Process:    

If all terms and conditions above are met, the referring employees will be paid a bonus. The bonus will be paid out as a gross amount on the employee's paycheck as a flat amount of $300 after taxes. The stipend will be paid by the referred employee’s department. Payouts will be distributed within three weeks after the referred hits their 30-day mark.    

  • For example, if a referral hits their 30-day mark on 9/16, the payout will occur within three weeks of 9/16.   

All payouts are monitored and approved via EpicEmployee. If you received a notification that your referral was denied, please check the associated request for an explanation.  

If you or one of your employees believe all program requirements were met but the bonus has not been received, please open a request with our Program team here. 

The positions below are eligible for the referral program. Please note any job titles not listed are currently ineligible for the Employee Referral Program.  Eligible jobs will prompt a referral question on the application asking for the 6-digit Employee ID of the referring employee.
