Terrain Management

Closed means closed!

Trails designated as closed by Ski Patrol are closed for teaching, and/or skiing & riding on or off the clock. It is the instructor’s responsibility to know what trails are open and what trails are closed. There may be times when certain marked gladed trails are open to our guests but closed for teaching (for instance, after a thaw/freeze cycle). This will be communicated to instructors via Morning Meetings. Please ask a Supervisor if you are unsure about what terrain is open for teaching.

Flow Zones

Specific pitches, runs or areas marked in red on the map below where instructors with classes are required to move from point A to point B with the sole focus of skiing or riding safely and efficiently in keeping with the flow of traffic. Do not stop except in Safe Stopping Spots and avoid technical focuses or drills that may distract students from this task. Examples include high traffic density runs, such as Catwalk, Side Street, and Crossover.
